It’s a landmark year for the Jenkins Bakery – 100 years since the foundation of the family business.
As part of the centenary celebrations, the firm has launched a Harvest Grain Centenary Sour Dough loaf.
This is a brown Sour Dough loaf made to an unique recipe to celebrate the Centenary Year for 2021.
The dough is made using traditional methods, allowed a long fermentation at three days and gently hand-moulded by our craft bakers.
The product has a rich malty taste and contains Malted Wheat Flakes and Malted Barley which gives it an improved texture and packs it full of flavour.
It is also a great accompaniment for cheese.
Jenkins Bakery operations director Russell Jenkins said: “We are planning to mark our centenary in a number of ways throughout the year. We have a cherished reputation for producing quality craft loaves and breads, confectionery and other products.
“We hope our customers enjoy this very special sour dough loaf.”
