Success for Jenkins Bakery team at the first Bako Trade Show awards

There was plenty to cheer about for the Jenkins Bakery team at the first ever trade show organised by Bako, the wholesale bakery in Gorseinon.

Bakeries from all over Wales competed in a wide variety of different competition categories.

Russell Jenkins, operations director at Jenkins Bakery, said: “There was a very high standard to the competition in what was the first event of its kind to be organised by the team at Bako in Gorseinon.

“At Jenkins Bakery, we pride ourselves on producing quality products and we were delighted to come away with prize certificates from the event. All credit goes to our hard-working team of bakers here at our bakery headquarters in Trostre, Llanelli.”

The Jenkins Bakery team’s certificates were as follows –

First place for D-shaped pasties (chicken and mushroom pastie).

Second for white Coburg bread.

Second for wholemeal tin bread.

Third for white tinned loaf.

Third for sausage rolls

Very highly commended for plain scones.
